Birdbox

Designed for Starex Manufacturing

A simple product that encourages hands-on building for young children. With adult supervision, only a hammer and some nails are needed to construct the box from the loose parts. In an effort to minimise waste during the CNC routing process, the birdbox’s small individual pieces are designed to be nested in and around larger components that are cut out of raw birch ply sheets, thereby making use of material that would otherwise be discarded.
