Designed as a contemporary replacement for Starex’s original ‘Upholstered Lounge Set’, The Alby Set’s simplicity is its greatest virtue. Easy and fast to manufacture, the individual units are highly customizable. Available is a single and double version. Also seen is the accompanying ‘coffee’ table I designed in parallel to complete the set
The products in the set knowingly reference Bauhaus designer Josef Albers’ Club Chair (circa 1927/28) - a nod to one of my main influences and also to my design history learnings from my undergraduate studies.
